First Laugh

For those who didn't hear it.  Baby laughs always make you smile.

We were getting ready to go on a walk and I was bouncing him up and down in the carrier.  He did one little chuckle and I immediately turned on the voice memo on my iphone.  It truly is his first laugh he has not laughed again this hard but we have been getting little chuckles here and there.  I'm glad he is a happy baby and not like his mama was a grouch!

On My Playmat

This is how he was watching TV, he laid there for a good while I thought he was asleep but no just chilling out, not so interested in his toys at the moment.

We found this great quilt at Costco it's perfect size and not so fluffy so it's easy to wash and under it is those foam alphabet blocks to give some cushioning for when he rolls over and sits up.  It's just better than playing on the hardwood floor.

This little book is a great toy he pulls all the little things on the string and it's bright and colorful.  He enjoys looking at it, a few of them are his favorite like the ruler and mouse.

 He is getting stronger every day.

First Time Eating!

There is a video on Facebook that is actually his second time eating.  This is his first we just took pictures here cause we were not sure how he was going to react to the whole food idea.  But he loved it, he was ready 2 weeks ago to eat.  I think he just likes to sit up I have to sit him up more for him to drink his bottle now too.  He is almost sitting up by himself as well, he uses his hands for support.  So maybe by 5 months he will be a pro but who knows.

Daddy for to feed him for the first time.  I figured it was a great honor for him and mommy will be at home all the time anyways.  So I will get to do it most of the time.

He was face first and ready to go, could not wait to eat.

He always grabs for the spoon I'm sure he already wants to feed himself.

My happy baby boy. He is just the best baby.

Again Daddy fed him a banana for the first time and he  loves it.  Though most got on his clothes he is hooked on bananas.

That's the stuff!

He more or less licks it like a lollipop until its very soft and mushy. 

  I think we are going to hold off on the banana for a while with eating Rice cereal and a banana in one day on top of the milk it backed him up.  He normally poops 3-5 times a day and he went a whole 24 hours with no poop and when he finally did it blew mom's nose out of the water!  Don't get me wrong he had been farting all day the stinky-est stink I have smelt I constantly check his diaper and never any poop just stinky farts.  Then when it came it was all that I imagined it was going to be, gross and repulsive the true Schafer style. Needless to say we are going to introduce him into it slower, but mom and dad we just so excited.

4 Months

 4 months old today, time is flying by so fast I can't even believe it.  Seems like yesterday we brought him home. I'm so thankful for my son he is truely a blessing.

Blue the Vibrating Dog

 

Now the swing has always been a favorite especially when he wakes up his chipper self in the morning.  I can put him in it and make my morning oatmeal and coffee and I can hear him beating on the toys.  He plays as though he is doing his last drum solo of an 80s hair band tour.  It makes me giggle.  Though lately he has been picky about sitting in any chair for to long I put his vibrating dog blue in with him.  This has always been one of his favorites because it has a very high power vibrator (insert your own vibrator joke here) This time I turned it one when he was getting fussy and he picks it up and holds it to his face! I could not stop laughing.

He holds it to his face and continue to plays he even spit his binky out.

And starts licking it.  what you can't see is that his cheeks were shaking, I was trying not to laugh loud as to advert his attention but it was very hard.

Then he smashes it into his face...

Now it stop vibrating and he is waiting for me to push the button again.  This went on for about 30 minutes.  My cheeks hurt so bad.  Since he is grabbing and holding onto things Blue is one of his favorites to cling onto, huh I wonder why... hahahaha
