My Soldiers

The two most handsome men in the world.  How did I get so lucky?  I am so proud of my husbands service in the army and providing a great life for our family.  Here is Korea has so far been a wonderful experience and we are looking forward to the next 3 years.  Tobyn has adjust well after his jet lag now we are just getting used to the dry winters.  I think he likes the cold, he is a polar bear like his Grandpa Ron!
He has gotten so big in the past few weeks my little trooper is doing well living in a hotel for so long but we almost have our house!  Very soon I hope the waiting is killing me.  Toby will love it there to think this will be the home that he will learn to walk in and have special memories.  It warms my heart.

2 months

I can't believe how big you have gotten and how fast time has flew by. Each and every day I am so thankful for you and I only hope that we can give you the best in your life.  We watch as you grow in front of our eyes and change daily.  All the miracles of life we get to see in you, one of my favorites is to see those pretty blonde eyelashes grow in.  Daddy and Mommy love you so much!

Loves his winter hats! and especially his bear suit!

Your favorite things to do at 2 months:
You love to smile at mama in the morning, I think you missed seeing me all night.
Dad sings to you in the tub and you just light up with smiles so big, and you love the water.
You like to sit up in our laps.
You love sleeping on your tummy, though it makes mama worry.
Daddy carries you around in a baby carrier and you fall asleep almost instantly.
You hold your binky in your mouth sometimes
You weight in at over 12lbs, your a big boy!

We can't wait to see what you will do next month, We love you our precious little baby.

Superbaby

SUPERBABY
12 Ways to Give Your Child a Head Start in the First 3 Years
By Dr. Jenn Berman
Foreword by Alan Greene, MD, author of Raising Baby Green

Straight from the Publisher:

Raising a superbaby is not about creating an überbaby: a perfect, genius who will get into all the right preschools and colleges. Instead, it is about raising a child who is empathetic, resilient, and is emotionally intelligent. It is about nurturing a baby to help her reach her full potential.

The first three years of life are the most important in a child’s development: babies start forming attachments, developing a sense of self, and learning to trust. During this time, there are critical windows of opportunity that parents can take advantage of—if they know how. In SuperBaby: 12 Ways to Give Your Child a Head Start in the First 3 Years Dr. Jenn Berman gives parents the knowledge they need to make the most of these windows for their child’s optimal mental and emotional growth.

In each chapter of SuperBaby, Dr. Jenn focuses on one of twelve areas that greatly impact a baby’s development. These include respectful communication, responding to cues, creating security and predictability, the importance of touch, promoting language development, sign language, foreign language, the importance of play, reading, screen (tv) time, reducing exposure to toxic chemicals, and eating & nutrition. You’ll learn:
! Easy steps to reduce resistance and avoid tantrums
! The two “Qs” parents need to know about to promote language development
! The truth about learning toys and videos
! How to use play to develop key social, intellectual, and emotional skills
! When and how to start reading to your child
! The three ASL signs that will make your baby’s life easier
! The seven most important ingredients to avoid in your child’s food
! How to teach good sleep habits from the start
! Simple ways to reduce toxic chemical exposure at home

Dr. Jenn shares important research, her clinical experience, and her personal stories as a mother of twins. She has also included “From the Experts” sidebars from leading experts such as Dr. Harvey Karp, Dr. Bob Sears, Dr. Jane Nelson, Jim & Charles Fay, Dr. Tanya Remer-Altmann, Dr. Scott Cohen, Ruth Yaron, The Campaign for Commercial-free Childhood, The Alliance for Childhood, Healthy Child Healthy World, the Environmental Working Group, and many others. Filled with tables, lists, helpful scripts, recommended books, and resources, SuperBaby is a book you’ll refer to again and again for common sense and research-based advice on successful, real-world parenting.

So far this book is great though I don't agree with everything in it, it's a logical explanation of everyday situations. In the first 24 pages I have already learned so much I love it. Can't wait to finish and read it again.

Night Time Reflection

Just put baby toko back to sleep and I can't help but be excited for him to have his own room. All this stress, hard work, and traveling has paid off for our family. We finally can get settled (well at least for 3 years) and get our life back together. These past few months have been hard and I don't know if Nik or I have had a harder time but I'm defiantly ready for a stress free life. I'm thankful for all my husbands hard work to get us were we are today. I am blessed and thankful God has provided me with all the opportunities of creating a better life through Nik. In the past year I have become a wife, mother, and pcs expert and I don't think it can get any better than that.

Errands

We had a very busy day running errands. Especially when we wall everywhere. Though the cold does feel good on the body cause I have been tired of sweating! We got our ration card, registered for DEERS, and then went to the hospital to set up our tricare and get medical cards. As of now I think the only things we have left to do it get our Korean drivers license and of course move into our apartment.

For traveling so much Tobyn has been a trooper! I can't wait for him to get into a routine once we have our house set up. I know he needs it. He is getting so smart! He like to sit up in our laps and even holds a binky in his mouth. And many more smiles too. I'm still trying to catch it on video but it proves harder than I thought!

My little stud muffin is to cool for school! And you can see his hair growing in as well!

Loves to sit up on Grammys neck pillow thanks Grammy!

Very happy boy he gets so excited when he feels like a big boy.

With running all these errands he has been so happy Nik carries him around in the carrier and he just loves it looks around and sleeps he hardly cried today. Such a good little man. Well he is waking up post more later!

Our new home!

We have found our new house! It is so beautiful and all new appliances. It has a large laundry room as well which with a baby will make our lives very easy! I'm so thankful we are lucky enough to get this place even our realtor said we were lucky! It is partially furnished with dining table, couch, entertainment center, and master bed. We indeed are lucky.

Guest bathroom

First bedroom

Wall closets in every room very nice!

Kitchen view With dishwasher!

Bedroom two with closets and built in desk

Laundry room

Master bath with large tub

Master bed

Our closets his and her sides into the bathroom.

We get to move in on the 26th that is if all paper work goes well which I think it will. The floors are heated to keep the house warm and there is a large AC unit for the hot summers. It's on the first floor and in a very secure building. There is a very nice officer who lives upstairs and he has nothing bad to say about the place.

It's cool to think that Toby will learn to walk and talk here and in 3 years we could have another baby. (maybe) I'm so ready to get settle and get Tobyn into a routine traveling has been very hard. I'll keep you updated once we move in.

 no I'm not....
 ah maybe a little tired...
 but not really...
 yes I am... Going...

GONE!

Little man face planted and slept for an hour, what a crazy boy he fights going to sleep but once he does he is out!  And I mean out, we can have the TV on and talk on the phone, do dishes, anything.  I'm glad we have made him a hard sleeper cause then nothing would get done!

New years at the Inn

Our stay in the schofield inn has been difficult to pack items we need for 2 months until our house hold goods get to Korea. Little man has just been sleeping though he doesn't like his crib recently. Oh well we have a huge bed so we can spoil him until we get our own home. He is so sweet! Only a week until we leave I hope we get over this cold fast!! I have a sinus infection and ear infection and maybe little man is getting it but now that I'm on meds I think that helps him too. We are getting excited to move and time is going by so slow!
