I Wanna Go fast!

My little Ricky Bobby.  We were waiting for the car to warm up and little man just lunged for the wheel. The speed demon this one is going to be. He was smiling and laughing he loves being anywhere in the care besides his car seat! You can tell he is smiling from the back of his head. :)

Daddy Turns the Big 3-5!

We are getting ready to go out for Daddy's birthday! He turned 35 today! We headed out to go adventuring in Korea, there is tons of shopping to do here!
Toby-too was so excited he was such a good boy all day. We spend most of the day outside since it's always nice on Nik's birthday. I can't believe the family that we have started it's amazing to think that now at 35 Nik would be a dad, I bet he never imagined it!
Mama giving toby some love, he is so sweet to lay his head down usually in the taxi he falls asleep but daddy was too entertaining.

 kisses for my love!
moving through the streets of Korea, it was an adventure we went to another part of Myong-dong and found this restaurant that Nik wants to eat at.  It was very inexpensive and tasty!
The food was so spicy that while they cooked it the hot oil was burning my eyes, but I think I was over sensitive since I had contacts in. Once the food stopped cooking it was fine and we ate like we were starving! I wanted to eat more but my nose was running so bad I couldn't. Nik ate the most  he loved the spice!

Nik always looking cool in his shades and me still not liking the camera.... hahaha

Yes, Sergeant!

Daddy get promoted!!! WooHoo!
It was a long time over due but he did great! He passed his board, had all his points, and now we are making the big bucks! just kidding. We celebrated by going out to eat at Green Street (ironic?) We like this place plus we had to run some other errands on post so it all worked out.  With Nik's promotion means he will have more responsibility and be more of a leader which I think he will be excellent in leading others by his good example. I don't think there are many soldiers who are like Nik, no sick call ever, near perfect PT scores, and compassion for others. In the NCO creed there is a part that represents Nik very well:
All soldiers are entitled to outstanding leadership; I will provide that leadership. I know my soldiers and I will always place their needs above my own. I will communicate consistently with my soldiers and never leave them uninformed. I will be fair and impartial when recommending both rewards and punishment.

Nik always places others needs before his own, mine, his son, and his co-workers are important to him he makes sure everyone is taken care of. He is a true team player. He is always fair and just, patient, and slow to anger. He is not perfect but I can't imagine a better Sergeant, NCO, and soldier than my husband. Thank you for your service and your sacrifices. I'm proud of you.

Bedtime Snack

Believe it or not there is a diaper under there! He has got such a large tummy! I know it's because he eats so much!
He is got to lick it clean, Bananas are so yummy! Oh look there is a peek of his diaper, a little tiny inch of it is reaching for air! Once he is all done it's bath and bedtime. He has been so good at sleeping through the night. It's nice that he sleep for 12 hours straight! He usually goes to bed at 7ish and will not wake up until 6 or 7.
My little man is always hungry! Thank goodness people have been giving us baby food to keep up!

A Little Stroll

He loves it! Finally getting used to being strapped in the seat. I have been taking him on little runs and trips to the commissary to see how he does and so far so good. This thing glides like a dream and the front wheel locks or pivots making it workable in stores. I can't say enough good things about my stroller I love it!

Sick Day!

My Little sicky boy! He has been running a fever for a few days, but nothing gets TK down.  He still was cheesing at the camera and making silly faces. I hope his fever goes away in summer we have him in a winter fleece outfit to keep warm cause he had the cold sweats.  My poor baby I hate when they are sick, but I think it's just going to happen so I'm not to worried about it. We are healthy and he gets his vitamins everyday. He is such a trooper. I have a video of him playing with his favorite book. We read lots of book while we are sick!

Mama is Getting Serious

The mother's day festivities continue. This was the real gift Nik got me, and BOB revolution SE 2011 jogging stroller! The Ferrari of strollers.  this stroller hold the world record for marathon runner pushing his son. If he can do it I can do it! I want to get the last 20lbs off me as well, I want to shed the baby weight.  We also got the rain/wind cover and the cell phone/cup holder.  It was the best investment I ever made. I'm going to put a lot of miles on this baby! For the first ride he was not so happy about it but he is not a fan of being strapped in anything either. I think I will just attach his musical giraffe and train him to fall asleep in it, then I can go running at nap times. It the weather is not to bad. I am very exceed about this gift! Thank you my wonderful husband!

First Time on the Playground

What a gorgeous day to play! Was had a blast playing out side.  It was his first time on a swing and he loved it, and this hippo was right up his alley as well! Most toys on a playground are for bigger kids and he is only a low belly crawler so we did what we can.  You can't pass up a day like today it was perfect out! I hope the whole summer is like this! I know that we will have many many more days on the playground I guarantee it!

Out for a Stroll

Out for a little stroll. We needed to run some errands and we take the stroller to help load groceries and bring them up to the 12th floor.  I had an idea to put him in it and he loved the ride.

This boy has some lips on him, they stick out so far! I think this is at the point he wanted out.  Also you notice his pants or what have turned into shorts! HAHA he is one chunky man!

Never Poop Where You Eat!

Unless you are a baby, then it seems like the prime location! I think every poop have been in his bumbo chair.  At least he knows that number 2 happens in a throne of some kind! I think it's funny how he turns red and holds his breath to push.  If he has a bite of food in his mouth he spits it out while he is pushing. My son the comedian! But I don't care who you are farts and poo is always funny!

First Mother's Day

MY VERY FIRST MOTHER'S DAY!! Oh how much fun it was. We decided to go to Myong-dong out door mall.  Which was huge! We walked around for a while and Nik let me go shopping for some new clothes since I just started insanity and have already lot 15 pre-pregnancy pounds. I'm so thankful to be able to spend the day with my family on such a beautiful day.
Tobyn got a kick out of the subway, even though it was a little warm he had a great time.  We headed over to another shopping area that was not to far away with really cheep items. It was mostly shoes and socks! I have never seen so many shoe stands in my life. On another note I have never seen so many sock stands too! They are everywere, Koreans must have an obsession with covered feet! lol
Here is a temple like building we saw. I tried to read the sign but it was not in English, it was still pretty old and cool looking.
We are trying to explore more of Korea, hopefully in our next 2 years we will have plenty more family photos.  All in all it was a great day, lots of walking, sunshine, gifts, and good food. I could not ask for anything more!

Sitting Up in the Bed

He is learning to sit up so well! I can't believe my big man is already 5 months old.  He loves when I run at him and slap my hands on the bed like I'm sneaking up on him to scare him. His belly laugh is so precious too. I try to bring him into other rooms and play with him so he doesn't feel confined to always being in the living room; which is were we usually play. Today we played and he was able to help mom change the sheets! Let's hope he doesn't puke while they are in the wash!

Family Dinner

We are eating at our Favorite restaurant Pumpkin Palace.  I'm not sure if it's called that but they wear orange shirts and there is a pumpkin on the sign. We also call it our Orange place hehe. We have not been out to much yet because Tobyn is still pretty little and usually just wants to be held, making it hard for us to eat without feeling rushed. This is his first time sitting in a High Chair and he did very well.
He ate his food and played with toys and was so happy! Excuse my hair and scary face, again it's getting used to packing up the baby for an outing I really don't have to much time for myself. I sure do love the food at this Korean BBQ place, it has all my favorite sides and it's pretty inexpensive. We will take anyone who comes to visit here for sure.
Toby did so good in his chair but started getting fussy.  The only downfall you BBQing your food at the table is it gets extremely hot and fast. I think our little man in his comfy outfit got to hot for comfort and we soon left.  It was well worth adventure and I'm sure we will get getting out more!
