Baby Names

I'm finding it's hard to pick out some baby names because we all know that typical scenario...  How one person you are not to fond of ruins a perfectly good name! haha I don't like many girl names because of many girls that I knew in the past and Nik is in the same boat for guys in his past.  It's a no win situation BUT we are just going to have to be creative and make up our own names! Or possibly go with something Hawaiian because it is where Nik and I met and the baby is going to be born here.  We will see a few months down the road.

On a side note, I had some cramping today not sure if it's a bad tummy, gas, or what, but I know I will feel better tomorrow.  Sorry if that is TMI!

Love y'all and wish you could be here with me!

5 Weeks

I am 5 weeks now, finally getting down an eating regiment of healthy foods.  And scheduling a docs appointment in the next few weeks.

I'm feeling so tired all the time like my eyes are half open, but then we I lay down to take a nap or go to sleep I lay awake with my eyes open.  It's very frustrating and then being woken up by having to run to the bathroom all night.  Oh the joys of pregnancy and this is not even the start!

Beach Bums!

We are enjoying our weekend together!  I have been swimming everyday for about 20-40 min.  It's the best exercise I can do while pregnant and it's a lot of fun to enjoy the sun and water.

It was also crazy at the beach there were like 4 really pregnant ladies.  They were all sitting around us it was so weird I felt out of place that I'm not showing off my big belly but I did fit in, I guess.  It was cool to see the bellies though makes me happy to think that I will have one soon.

Here is a pic Nik took of the beach line but the lady in the middle is a big ol' prego it was cute.

The sun has been blazing when it's out.  I know this summer is going to be a hot and sticky one.  I hope I will survive during my second trimester!!
Especially since we have no A/C in our house, I know that we will have to invest in some fans of some kind.  We will worry about that then, until then just being beach bums and loving it!!

Baby Books

Some books I want to check out... and books I want Nik to read!

Pregnancy Sucks: What to Do When Your Miracle Makes You Miserable by Joanne Kimes
mamamoos: This book is humorous and honest. Plus it gives you tips on how to alleviate the dozens of discomforts associated with pregnancy and tells you what money traps to avoid. It feels like you're actually getting advice from a real mom and not a doctor.

"The Caveman's Guide to Expecting"  Not only is it in "man terms" but it also covers everything.

Dad's Pregnant too! It's got good advice (from multiple people, not just the author) as well as an online site/forum to check out & it has a bit of humor so you don't get bored.

There are so many out there anyone have any suggestions or old books they can send my way?

The Bump from The Knot

This is the cutest website/ iPhone app that I have found!  So adoreable and very informative.  The app is actually like an online help chat, you can ask questions and get immediate responses.  And you can give answers to other women who post questions.  It's very neat.  And the website is awesome! They give you a preparation check list to keep you on track with your pregnancy.  Like things for finances, when to start putting together a nursery, and stuff I have not even thought about.  Now I just need to start investing in some books to read, I have been spending way to much time on line!

Embracing Life!

Soaking up all that life has to offer. Decided that I want to start swimming while I'll be growing a bigger belly. It is low impact and very good for the heart and all extremities. And the feeling of being weightless when I'll be as big as a house will be a relief from my feet.

Plus we will be leaving the island in January so I got to take advantage of the tropical ocean while I got it on my front yard! Here is a picture of the proud daddy!

Spilled the Beans

So we cannot keep secrets very long. Nik was talking to his mother and told her, but it's ok eariler that day I called my brother so he was the first to know. It's hard to keep something as life changing as this quite. We have been bursting with excitement! I'm glad we called or tried to get ahold of our families but we still are for sure waiting to post anything on any social networking sites. For those of you that know please don't post anything publicly yet, this is a special time and we are just happy sharing it with our families.

I have worked on getting the baby tickers up so that family can keep up with us.

Pregnancy stats:
I am due November 28th 2010
As of now I am 4 weeks and 2 days

Fun facts:
Can't stop peeing
Craving anything bacon

Puena Point

We visited this beach located at the beginning of Haleiwa as you are heading into town. It's a pretty popular park so there is always lots of cars and lines in the bathroom. It was finally another weekend that Nik was able to come out and enjoy the sun and sand. It was a beautiful day all the clouds just missed us and the sun was shining all day.

Nik finally got to take a board out and surf a little, he caught a few good ones but he really needs to get his own board that fits his warrior status. After he was on the waves he came in to sun tan with me for awhile but poor thing has an army tan and in the few hours we were out got sun burnt.

It was a nice relaxing day and still exciting to know the news of my being pregnant and today I am 4 weeks along. Just starting my pregnancy it has just been a blissful weekend!

Baby on Board

So I have taken a pregnancy test because I'm late and I'm pretty sure it's positive. The line is faint but from what I read any line means some part of the prego hormone. It's just not that strong yet.

I took this picture because it struck me as hilarious. I took the test in the morning and threw it on the desk and layed back down.

How Ironic, But we are very excited. I know it's still early but I think we are going to wait to tell our families, but it is very exciting and we are very happy!

Tho it is weird to say: I'm pregnant or We are going to have a baby! I'lll have to get used to it fast I'm going to be a Mommy!

You & Me

Husband and I are sitting on the porch just listening to music and this great song gets stuck in our heads:

Unpack you bags
Something small
Take what you need and we disappear
Without a trace we be gone, gone
The moon and the stars follow the car
And then when we get to the ocean
Gonna take a boat to the end of the world
All the way to the end of the world
Oh, And when the kids are old enough

Were gonna teach them to fly

You and me together, could do anything baby
You and me together yes yes
You and me toether, could do anything baby
You and me together, yes yes

You and I are
Were not tied to the ground
Not falling but rising like rolling around
Eyes closed above the rooftops
Eyes closed we gonna spin through the stars
Our arms wide as the sky
Were gonna ride blue all the way to the end of the world
To the end of the world

Oh and when the kids are old enough were gonna teach them to fly

You and me together, could do anything baby
You and me together yes yes
You and me together, could do anything baby
You and me together, yes yes

We can always look back at what we did
Only memory of you and me baby
Right now its you and me forever girl
And you know we could do better than anything that we did
You know that you and me we could do anything

You and me together, could do anything baby
You and me together yeah yeah
The two of us together, we could do anything baby
You and me together, yeah yeah

The two of us together, yeah yeah
The two of us together, we could do anything baby

Waimea Bay

All this month Nik has had four day weekends off work, which has been so much fun to go out and play. We have had a busy week and after my nap we decided to take a stroll and a sunset dip in the ocean. The water was cold at this time of day but it sure ended up feeling great. It's such an amazing beach I have never been that this time of day and I'm glad we took the walk.

We also ended up seeing a rainbow on the way home. <3

Pink Martini

Show time! I love going downtown for dinner, drinks, and music! It's an all day event because of the long drive from Haleiwa to Honolulu, but first of course stopping at Cholo's for a pre-game round of margaritas. I had the peach-berry-rita it was very tasty!

Once we get down town it's on at Buca di Beppo One of the best Italian restaurants on Oahu. We had some spicy pasta and a few glasses of wine and I always get the peach bellini to drink (I think you can see a trend I love anything peach!) Since we come to Buca so much the bartenders are starting to know us by drink and name, which is always why I love to keep coming back to eat.

After dinner it was a short waddle from being to full to the concert hall. As we were walking single file with me in front so a biker could pass us, Nik did not see him and the biker got flattened by the brick wall that is Nik's chest! It was the funniest thing you ever saw! It was like nothing even stunned Nik and took a guy clean off his bike. I could not believe it.

Finally we get to Pink Martini show. This half orchestra is the most inspiring to listen to, so many talented artist in this band. Makes me want to play the piano again or do something musical. I still listen to their songs it was a great show!

my most favorite part about the group is that they use all different kinds of music, culture, and language. They base songs off of classical music and add Latin beat or Brazilian, even some French. It's truly was a pleasure to listen to this band play you can clearly see they put their heart and soul into their music.

Korea!

On to Korea the start of our journey together. I have always dreamed of living in a different country. I enjoy culture and being out of my own element to experience how other people get along in this world. Plus I have always wanted to learn another language and this is my perfect opportunity!

We are due to arrive in Camp Coiner, Seoul January 10th 2011 and Nik gets a month off to get ready to move. Thankfully the army helps ship our things or I would have a headache trying to deal with it all. I am so thankful that we have this chance to be adventurous and especially do it with someone I love.

Below are some pictures of Korea we found of the area.

Going Green

I can't believe March is already upon us. So far this year has been exciting, spontaneous, and fast. 2010 is going to go by quicker than we think and it's off to Korea in December. Who knew that life was going to take us down this path. It was only a few months ago I had no direction or any plans on which direction to take, Now I'm GREEN!

It's not easy being green -Kermit

I am so happy that we have gotten together and are on the start to a wonderful life. I know it will be hard and challenging but I want to be in it for the long run. Love the unlovable, showing kindness and patience at every trial. It's putting in the time to serve a good man that makes it all worth while. I hope that I will continue to make him proud as his partner in life.

I love you Nik!
