Wake Up Snuggles

Since mom has been under the weather the past few days. My little man has been laying down with me and taking naps. I hope this is not going to spoil him because as much as I'd like to I cannot take a nap every day with him.

When he wakes up let me tell ya he is the happiest guy! All smiles and ready to adventure. I do have to say this age is the best! He is mobile enough to entertain himself but still little enough he needs you. He is happy and learning to snuggle; 9 months is the best age!

Sneeze Attack = Laugh Attack

Since I have been sick there are a lot more nosies I make during the day which Tobyn finds hilarious. Usually when I blow my nose he runs because it's a scary sound. You should see how fast he crawls wen I blow into that tissue it makes me laugh then I start to cough which makes him more concerned for me. Today while feeding him I sneezed and he thought that was so dang funny! This picture I snapped after all his laughing; reminder never give a baby a laugh attack during feeding time it's ends up in a splattered mess everywhere!

Here is the video of some of his laughs. It's too cute! I love his belly laughs he is just growing to fast. I hope you enjoy the video because it made me feel a little bit better.

He is becoming so much more adventurous, I'm chasing him all over the house because he can't get enough of discovering. It has seriously been screwing up his nap times; there's just to much to explore I guess. I let him play in the kitchen while I get his food ready and he knows how to open the drawers. Looks like we need to start child proofing the house!

Sick Mama

So on today I woke up with a terrible sore throat and half my nose plugged. This was not the way to start my week especially when I planned on jumping back into pace with my running and BodyRocker workouts. Thankfully Nik finally had a day off and he most graciously took care of Toby and I got to sleep for most of the day. I felt terrible and sounded worse than I looked.

Nik still had to run some errands and even canceled his softball practice because I was so ill. While he was gone I got Toby to nap with me because I just could not keep up with him.

We slept for a good two hours; though I am not sure when exactly he got up I was in a cold medicine coma that when I did wake up Toby was out playing with dada. Again thank goodness Nik was home today, but I'm not looking forward to his 24 hour shift tomorrow... I just pray this passes quickly!

These Boots are Made for Walking

Tobyn got his new pair of Robeez shoes! Actually he got two pairs because Amazon was having a great sale. I'm a little jealous because the girl Robeez are adorable! The boys have some cool stuff but I was lucky to find the cutest ones. I got him Shark frenzy rain boots for winter, with socks on these will be good for the snow too. They are waterproof and 12-18 month size, but I know that he will only wear these for the winter his feet are to fat!

I got him some mega cute ones were one foot has a little monster and the other has a little frog prince. They are reversible; once the outside gets really dirty, wipe them off and flip them inside out and you have a new pair! I think mama is more excited than Toby but he always wants to stand EVERYWHERE we go.  I could not bear the thought any more of his bare feet on the ground, and while he crawls he gets the tops of his feet dirty too. It was just time to start the shoe trend anyways; my son has never worn shoes until now.

We went to visit Daddy at work and to pick up the mail. While waiting for formation Toby decides he needs to get some exercise. He was walking across this pool table I had him on, I got it on video but he was tired by that point. At least you can see some walking action but he was walking all the way across with no hep at all! It was awesome!!! Nik got to see him in action. It was a nice reward for dada since he just worked 2 weeks of crazy 24 hour shifts. So proud of my men.

Most Eligible Bachelor Appearance

Tobyn attended Chloe's first birthday party! He had so much fun! My hambone loved showing off for the ladies. He was smiling, giggling and showing off his walking skills. Oh yea he loves the attention!

Mr. Chuckles you can't help but smile with him.

The weather was perfect a little warm but there was a little breeze as well. Chloe's mom makes great food, we ate so much! It was a great party.

Here is the beautiful little lady. She is so adorable, little miss princess was a great party hostess. She lasted for most of the day she is such a trooper!

Here she gets cake all over her face, an excellent tradition if I do say so myself! She enjoyed all her cake and wore it too!

It was a fun day even though Nik was called into work :( Tobyn and I had a great time. He loved his party bag a few of the toys he loves to play with still. Like I say children love toys best when they are free!

Tobyn 9 Months Old!

Tobyn you are 9 months old already!! Some things you have been up to lately:
You have mastered crawling, pulling yourself up, and standing.
You can watch the whole Toy Story 2 movie.
You have started to take steps but always grab onto something.
You have 3 teeth growing in, plus the 3 you already have.
Your favorite snacks are nilla wafers and life cereal.
You talk and make a clicking noise with your tongue.
You don't like formula anymore.
You learned to take your disposable diaper off, good thing mama switched to cloth snaps!
You are such an adventurer and great traveler.
You love to stand at the dishwasher and help mama.
And just started to put your hands in your poo while mama is changing you! Yuck!!!

I predict that he will be walking by 10 months, he is on a mission now to investigate everything and get into everything he can. Here are some pictures from no particular events just me snapping photos around the house this past month.

it's good to be green outfit, my favorite!

I am blessed to have such a great family and the ability to stay at home with him!

Tobyn's First Trip to Seoul Zoo

I woke up and decided that for the first time all summer it was nice weather and needed to come out like a bear in hibernation.  The monsoons have been such a downer not to mention the humidity is almost unbearable to be carrying around a hefty 9 month old boy! I invited my friend Lynisa and her pack of rug rats to come along; she was about as stir crazy as I was being cooped up in the house.

We had 4 babies and 1 stroller and by lunch we were headed out on our zoo adventure! I had staked out some metro stations that had elevators to we did not have to hop stairs during our line transfers. My plan was almost a success besides one stop we had to jump the stroller.  I'm glad that some Koreans are kind to stop and help up lift the heavy stroller up the stairs for us. We each were carrying a baby on our chest and then picking up a stroller it was insane!

Tobyn and Hurley love the train. Tobyn tries to crawl on the ground while it's moving and rolls around like a tin can in the back of a truck. It's pretty funny he laughs and laughs. He is a great traveler I'm glad that all the kids were good; like I said it's nice just to get out and do something new. This is the view as we went over the bridge. I must admit it's very cool to live in a city with a large transit system anywhere you want to go for 900 won (0.83 USD). We are very fortunate to experience another country and opportunity to take advantage of it's railways.

After a scary moment when the metro went off the track to changes drivers, in which we did not know to get off the train. We waited for it to get back on track while they cleaned and changed shifts and once again were on our way to the zoo.  It took us an hour and a half to get there; what should have been a 25 min ride. lol WE FINALLY MADE IT!! To Seoul Zoo. Well first Seoul grand central park, but we made our way around to the zoo.
I was just as excited as the kids, it's has been an eternity since I was at a zoo. I have never really been an animal lover, but now that I have a baby it's nice to get to experience them all over again. All the children had a blast; it was not to hot and we did not have to be on a timeline. Unfortunately, having so many babies with us we did not stay very long but at least I mapped the way for future expeditions.

I had to alternate putting Tobyn in the stroller because he is just to heavy to lug around on my back. Alayna didn't mind his company.

on second thought maybe she did....

Look at both of their stink eyes! what you talking about willis?!

Flamingo's are awesome and so tall! My kind of bird. They were so noisy Tobyn didn't care to much for them.
African totems, located next to the stroller rentals.
All the kids at the giraffe exhibit, they were very close to the fence it was nice they got to see them so close.
I love giraffes! They are so cool and tall! Animals after my own heart. I think I should get a giraffe print cloth diaper for Tobyn now.
Pygmy hippos were sleepy or resting because it was so hot out. I didn't know there was such a thing as a tiny hippo seems like an oxymoron, don't you think?
The Rhinos are always cool.
Me and my lil man, we had such a good time. I think he spend most of his time looking at the other children running around.
We finally greet the big hippos! They are the coolest one of my favorite animals.
Toby feel asleep at this point but we had to start heading back home anyways. Cutie pie!

I thought it was strange to see long horned cattle.  As a native Oregonian these cows are on ranches there all over, but I guess it's exotic for Koreans?

Last animal we had time for was the Zebra, but this guy looked like he was dying of a heat stroke! I feel bad for the animals that they should be free but then again I would not get to see their awesomeness. Like I said it was a quick trip because it took us so long to get there, but we can go back for more. I can't wait!
