"Confirming Pregnancy"

Going to the Hospital today, but before I can see an OBGYN.  I have to go to the family clinic to confirm pregnancy.  A woman comes to Tripler hospital between 1-3pm Mon-Fri to take a pregnancy test to confirm for the Army they are pregnant.  I'm thinking why does it take 2 appointments to confirm something I already know.  I guess they are just covering their bases.
